Overall Competitive Level Awards
Flashdance provides awards for competitive level dancers dancing in either Solo, Duet/Trio, Groups, Lines/Extended Lines for the following age divisions:
- 7 Years & Under
- 8 Years to 10 Years
- 11 Years to 13 Years
- 14 Years to 15 Years
- 16 Years to 18 Years
- 19 Years & Over
Competitive All-Around Soloist: This category is for competitors who enter 3 or more solos in the competition. The score for each solo will be calculated and awards will be based on the total average score of all their routines combined. Competitors who enter this category will be eligible for cash awards in the following age divisions: 8 – 10 Yrs, 11 – 13 Yrs, 14 – 15 Yrs, 16 – 18 Yrs and 19 Yrs & Over. These competitors will not qualify for regular solo categories which are for competitors who enter 2 or less solos.
Cash prizes, trophies and plaques will be awarded to each level of category for Highest Overall Mark, 2nd Highest Mark, and 3rd Highest Mark. In addition, each individual dancer in a routine that wins a Highest Mark Overall award will receive an overall medallion. Each individual dancer in a routine that wins a Second or Third Highest Mark Overall award will receive a ribbon.
Note: Flashdance presents Overall Cash Awards to all of the above age divisions – excluding, Novice, Recreational, Adult 30+, Professional and Production.
