Awards & Recognition

We at Flashdance are aware that each dancer needs support, encouragement and recognition for the energies that are put forth in being committed to dance.

Flashdance feels that recognition of excellence is an important factor at all dance competitions and therefore every performance is awarded a custom designed pin and a placement ribbon as related to their adjudicated scores.

We also award a 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place medallion in each category where there are 2 or more competitors. This will be over and above the adjudicated placement.

Each individual dancer in a routine that wins a Highest Mark Overall award will receive an overall medallion.
Each individual dancer in a routine that wins a Second or Third Highest Mark Overall award will receive a ribbon.
One trophy is awarded to a routine winning a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Highest Mark Overall Award.
