Judging Procedures & Marking System

There will be a panel of three (3) judges, each awarding a routine a score out of 100 marks. The marks are then averaged to achieve a final mark. Each competing routine will receive an audio CD with comments from each of the three judges and their marks. Note: CDs are given to teachers only or a designated representative from the studio. Audio CDs must be picked up during the competition at the end of each day. We do not mail CDs that are not picked up by the end of the weekend.

Each routine will be judged based on an adjudicated point system. With this scoring system, there may be a multiple of Platinum, Dynamic Gold, High Gold, Gold, High Silver, and Silver awards presented within each Performance Division. First, second and third placements will also be awarded in each category where there are 2 or more routines.

Competitive Levels

Platinum:92 & Over
Dynamic Gold:89 to 91.9 Marks
Gold:86 to 88.9 Marks
High Silver:85.9 Marks & Under

Recreational Levels

Platinum:90 & Over
Dynamic Gold:87 to 89.9
Gold:84 to 86.9
High Silver:83.9 Marks & Under
